Some PTE Myths debunked that might affect your score

Myths will often mislead you, and put you in the Dilemma of whether to believe it or not? There are ample myths that circulate the PTE exam and available online. These will make your chances of scoring good marks comparatively low because you have a completely false idea about the exam. Before you take the test, these myths are bound to attack you. So, to make things a bit clear and transparent, here are a few myths debunked.

Low typing speed affects the score

Typing speed does not affect your score at all! The minimum typing speed expected to give the writing exam and complete it on time is around 15 words per minute. This is probably the easiest to achieve. Along with that, the average typing speed when you use 2 fingers is about 30 words per minute. You will complete your test on time regardless of your typing speed.

Backspace affects Score

Of course, there are other reasons why you might lose marks. The score gets affected only when there is any spelling error, grammatical error, or any other minute mistakes. If these mistakes occur associating with the English language, only then the score gets reduced. Using backspace nowhere relates to a lower mark and does not affect your PTE score.

Accent Works wonder

Using a different accent or high-profile English term does not give chance to scoring high. The test is not based on checking your versatile accent! However, it expects you to speak naturally, normally, with basic English understanding and a decent understanding. It will be bad on your profile if you try to use a fake accent! Be as normal and natural as possible. 

Mock Test is Everything

Of course, a mock test gives you the guide to knowing how to handle the test, how to go about it, and also a rough idea of the overall experience. But, if you are assuming that if you give many mock tests it will prepare you for the PTE test, then you are mistaken. Exam measure your English understanding and the test happens to be completely different and new!

Difficult Words while reading can be avoided

Even if you think you are unable to pronounce certain words, do not give them up! Do not skip difficult words as it will impact your score. You’re trying and putting effort is itself a way of

impressing the examiner. Readout loud and be confident!
